Today is February 24th and as of tomorrow Richard and I have 4 more weeks here at the Miami Everglades Campground...
The next few weeks should be very interesting cause the campground will be one couple short to help with activities...The couple helped with the morning coffee time, 7:30am - 4:30pm...The unfortunate part is that before we got here they were working 40 hours per week and when we arrived, they were taken down to 15 hours per week...They needed the money to make ends meet but they have been doing what they need to do to get by...We heard today that this couple will be heading out to a better paying job on Friday...
Today was movie night...Tonight the movie was The Italian Job starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and Edward Norton, Jr...It's a very good fast paced movie...We had a pretty good crowd for this movie...Richard makes the popcorn and I make the lemonade and water pitchers for our guests...The tables were moved around for the guests and the lights were turned down...It was a good night for everyone...After the movie, all tables were put back in order, popcorn popper cleaned out and the pitchers washed...The bathrooms were checked and the floor was swept...
Most days there isn't much to do...Most of the cleaning is done and the floor is swept...So Richard downloads some things from the computer and I work on my cross stitch...What a day!
We did hear that we will be busy during the month of March with Burger Blasts and other things for the guests...It should be interesting with only 3 couples...Just as long as they don't take our days off away from us or call us to work a few hours on our days off...
The next few weeks, our days off will be busy...We still have places to go and to see...But one week of our days off will be in Key West...The last week of our 2 days off we will be getting ready to head back to Orlando...So that leaves 2 weeks of 4 days off to do everything else that we want to get done...
Well, tonight is over and we are watching our recorded shows...So goodnight everyone...Sweet Dreams...
