Last Visit to Brianna’s Cousins Home

With all the goings on around us, we are making our last trip to the niece & nephew’s house, Brianna’s cousins…Brianna’s cousins is her mom’s first cousins and then their kids are Brianna’s second cousins…The names of the cousins are Kevin & Kelli (the parents) then the kids are Bayne (the eldest daughter), Shyler (the youngest daughter) & Kevin Jr. (the only son)…They have a nice house around the area of Crestview and it is fun to go over there to eat some good cooking and play games…

 

On the way over to Kevin & Kelli’s, we were listening to The Princess & The Frog soundtrack…There are several songs on the soundtrack that are Brianna’s favorites…The first song is Goin’ Down the Bayou and then the Madam Odie song…She also likes the prince song…So while driving we were singing to Goin’ Down the Bayou while she was sipping her Caprisun…What fun we had singing the songs on our drive which was about 35 mins. from the KOA that we are staying at…

 

After arriving at the cousins’ house, Brianna saw the kids and started playing with them…Everybody went outside and she came out and was having fun with Shyler…They found a little green truck to ride down the hill on and then found a 2-wheel dolley…Brianna stood on the dolley and Shyler pushed her around the yard…They were having lots of fun…

Kevin was making burgers on the grill…He was using charcoal briquets on his propane grill which he said was versatile to use that way…But the hamburgers were the regular ground beef and the grease from the burgers was making one heck of a smoke screen…But after all the burgers were done, they were delicious along with the pasta salad, twice baked potatoes (which was the only 2 sides I had) but there was also Richard’s pickles and cole slaw…Brianna wouldn’t try any part of the hamburger or potato so we made her 2 hot dogs for her dinner…Then there was strawberry shortcake for dessert…Bri didn’t eat the spongecake with the strawberries but she did eat the strawberries which were in the strawberry glaze that Kevin put together…Yummy…Then she had a popsicle for a snack…

This is the backyard of Kevin & Kelli’s house…The have a very nice big swimming pool, a lake to go fishing in with a small boat with a small motor on it, when it’s nice out lots of red ants…They did take down some trees from out of their yard…

Before the evening was winding down and before the kids were getting ready for bed for school, we took a few last pictures for this visit of Brianna & her cousins…Brianna is hugging Bayne first…

Brianna is hugging Kelli and then Kevin…For Brianna to hug Kevin is a huge event…The last time we had Brianna in 2007-2008, she wouldn’t go near him…Now she will talk to him and ask him for things so this hug was very unexpected…

Then we put Brianna on the couch to watch cartoons while Richard & I were being taught a new way to play a card game called Golf…After the Golf game, Richard won, we played Pegs and Jokers and the girls won..We played as teams, boys vs girls…It was a close game but it was getting late and we had to get ready to leave…It was a great way to end an evening…

The Family’s Next Skateboarder…

Does everyone know that one day our own Brianna wants to be a skateboarder..She has no fear..only fun in her..Below is a glimpse of our Olympic skateboarder..

On her mark, get set, go!

This is the first run on the skateboard..The belly roll with no hands..

The second run was getting a great push-off of the wall..Hands are ready to stop…

 and the final winner for her third run is 10.0 run..Olympics here she comes..

Laurianna Turned 1…

Our youngest granddaughter, Laurianna, turned 1 years old on Jan. 20, 2010…Laurianna lives in Sicily with her parents, Misti & Chad…The year went by very fast and she is growing like a weed…Happy Birthday, Laurianna..

and on the cupcake is her One Candle to blow out…Whoo hoo!!!

This is the birthday card that was created to go email to Laurianna cause it takes so long for mail to get to Sicily…but I also enjoyed creating this birthday card for our granddaughter…I think it is more personal than going out and trying to find the “perfect” birthday card and I enjoyed making it..

This is the birthday girl in her Daddy’s & Mommy’s arms…On the table to the left of them is Anna’s b’day cake and all the party favors and snacks for the party…

The b’day girl and her balloons..Can you tell what the theme was???  Carebears, correct..But which Carebear???  The one and only Good Luck Carebear…Misti has always liked the Carebears…

 These are some awesome green iced cupcakes…They look very yummy..Great job, Misti..

Anna received many presents and cards from her adoring family and friends who were invited to her party…Her daddy was helping her with her cards but she must have seen one that really caught her attention cause it looks like she is actually reading this card…So cute..

Presents and more presents..This little girl got a lot of different items..I wonder what her favorite present was..

The fun part of turning 1 is that you get your own special piece of cake or your own special cupcake..There is nothing like letting a 1 yr. old go for it..Sometimes they don’t know what to do with the piece of cake that is put in front of them but there are times when they do know what to do..I think Anna knew exactly what to do with the green icing..I bet when she is done with this cupcake that it will be bath time..

Does this little green carebear need a bath?  She looks like she had lots of fun…I wonder how much icing went down her diaper…She looks so happy…

After her party and sugar rush from the cupcake, she put herself on the floor…Her daddy said it was a sugar crash…
