New Year's Eve

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

Today is New Year's Eve. Time to ring out the old and ring in the new. Today we won't be staying up to bring in the new year but that's ok. What we did do was meet up with Bob & Glenda and their cousin, cousin-n-law, Carl & Ruthie. All of us went out to lunch to Golden Corral. There we got full and talked and just had a good time.

From there we headed to Wilderness Lodge to park and to take the small boat to the Contemporary Resort in order to take the monorail to the Polynesian & Grand Floridian Resorts to see the Christmas decorations. Once we got on the monorail, the first stop was the Polynesian Resort. Staff from the resort made some gingerbread houses which were very cool. Not many decorations up like I would have thought but there was a few decorated xmas trees around and some xmas wreaths hanging around. I took some pictures but still have to download them from my camera. That should be done in a few days. *S* We walked out side to look at the pool and decided to take the little boat over to the Grand Floridian. Bob was complaining that it was 'cold'. He didn't bring his jacket cause I said that we should be back to his rv by 5pm. Well, we weren't and he was really cold. In the Grand Floridian resort, we got to see the big Gingerbread house and some of the decorations that was set around. The balconies are decorated very nicely with garland. The Grand Floridian has a grand staircase that is beautifully decorated with garland.

From the Grand Floridian we took the monorail back to the monorail hub that is in front of the Magic Kingdom. Richard suggested getting off there and walking down to the boat ramp that will take us back to the Wilderness Lodge. The boat that would take us back to the lodge would be a boat with windows and that would keep Bob warm. *S* We got back to the lodge and headed out to head back to Bob & Glenda's rv.

When we arrived at Bob & Glenda's rv, they invited us inside to have a celebratory drink for the New Year. So 6 of us made a toast and drank our white grape sparkling juice. *yummy* We all talked and then we left cause we had to come home to our rv in order to get ready for bed cause we have to work tomorrow. We hugged and said see you guys in April and off we went home.

Richard and I had requested to work on New Year's Day so that when we come back to this area on Mar. 27, we will be able to get our main gate passes. So tomorrow we will be working 7 to 8 hours.

We hope that everyone had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and New Year's Day...
